This is an older picture of Dustin and his grandfather, but it will always be one of my favorites. We spent Friday through Monday up in Slaton/Lubbock with Dustin's family and had a wonderful time. We spent most of the weekend getting things ready for his grandfather's new apartment. Papa has been in a physical therapy rehab facility since he broke his hip and we are all excited for him to move to this newer and nicer apartment where he'll still be able to get great care. He has made tremendous progress with standing and walking and was even able to go up the stairs into his Brownwood home when we took him out there.
We were able to hang out with Dustin's sister some and finally made it to see Slumdog Millionaire one night with her. Tricia and I enjoyed organizing pictures and things for Papa, and as usual she spoiled us with food and treats. It was nice to see everyone and we'll be headed back up that way soon for Erin's high school graduation in May.
